| There aren't many figures which look like they might be accurate
representations of the emtombed in the Recoleta cemetery. This
is one of the few I found and it's puzzling. I don't know if the
robe and shoes are stylized boxing gear? Or maybe they are
just favorite comfortable clothes from the man celebrated by this
crypt? But muscular chest, youthful thick hair, chiselled
facial features and althetic posture are clearly meant to remind
visitors that a strong virile man has passed away. I just don't
know the real backstory and can't put it in the proper context.

| The interior of this crypt was under construction. I don't know
what the rennovations are working towards, but when I peaked
there was quite a lot of clutter. The dusty equipment looked as
if it hadn't been touched in some time. And from this angle the
image of our most holy carpenter surrounded by the toold of his
trade was too good to pass up.

| I was completely captivated by this crypt. The design reminded
me of dark, gaslamp lit city home or perhaps a theater in
London. There's lots of wrought iron detail, opaque milky
glass panes in the overhanging extruded roof and just a just a
bit of decomposition starting to breakdown the structure. I
took a number of pictures and chose this image of the roof
overhang since it captures the essence of the momument.
